NORTH PARK TRIVIA!
North Park is a spin off series created by Alexander Privman that's based off the popular adult animated sitcom South Park. The show was created because he was a huge fan and loved the show so much, he decided to create his own series based on his all time favorite show.
The first episode of the series was only 11 minutes and took 6 months to complete.
In the original cut of the pilot episode "One Night of Drinking" the audio for most of the
character's lines was very low quality sound. This was because these lines were recorded
through an Android Droid Maxx phone. The creater had his cast on the phone to record
their lines. Alexander Privman recorded his lines for Jack on a regular microphone.
The pilot episode of the series is the only episode that doesn't officically animate the head
movements for the characters when they are speaking (as that's how the characters were animated on South Park.) The only animated head movement in the episode is in the scene where Mr. Edward was yelling at Jack in the classroom.
Mr. Duck is based off a Thomas the Tank Engine character called Duck. Chris Serrano who
is the voice of Mr. Duck gave him a western accent because of his traits to the Great West-
ern Railway (Duck). There are a lot of references to the Great Western Railway on behalf of Mr. Duck. Duck was Chris Serrano's favorite Thomas character and a lot of the traits he
gave to Mr. Duck was based on that Thomas character.
There are a few Thomas the Tank Engine references and Easter eggs present throughout
the show. In episode 1 of season 1, there is a picture of Edward from the series on Mr. Edward's desk. Many of the characters as well are based on Thomas characters.
Throughout the series, it uses a lot of the same backgrounds and places that are present in
South Park. Such places are the bus stop, the cafeteria, movie theater, classroom, etc.
A majority of the characters are based off a lot of things. One of theses are that many of
them are based off of Thomas the Tank Engine characters. For example, Mr. Edward was
based off of Edward (#2 Engine). Mr. Duck was based off of Duck (#8 Engine). Professor
James was based off of James (#5 Engine). Mr. Murdoch was based off of Murdoch the
(Standard Class 9F).
