This article is about the North Park character Chris Montague.

 

Chris Montague is one of the four protagonists and title character of the American animated sitcom North Park. He is voiced by Chris Serrano

and first appeared on YouTube in the pilot episode "One Night of Drinking" on March 28, 2017. Chris Montague was created and designed by

Xander Privman and Chris Serrano himself. Chris's character design was based off of Stan Marsh from the animated sitcom "South Park".

Chris is best known for his blue-colored hat and jacket and black pants which was inspired by the clothing worn by Sans from "Undertale". After

the character was created, he was put into the pilot episode which was released 20 years after the South Park pilot episode which premiered in

1997. Chris Serrano gave the character his name because he felt that Chris was the perfect name for himself and his character.

Chris is an ordinary boy who goes to North Park High School. Born in North Park Colorado on March 14, 2003, he is loved by lots of the teachers especially Mr. Duck who is revealed to be Chris' uncle in the episode "Damien", from season 1. Chris is the vessel for the Dark being named Dark Chris. He does not have this but when Damien performed the ritual, Dark Chris was released and chose Chris to be his vessel. He releases him when he is in trouble or wants to torture someone.Chris has to always deal with this.

Chris is friends with Morgan, Jack, and Charlie. Chris does not reveal anything about Dark Chris to anyone. Overall Chris is loved very much and

Chris is the vessel for a powerful Demon. P.S. Chris is a big fan of Yu-Gi-Oh and Pokemon.

Role in North Park

 

Chris Montague is a middle class American, who lives in North Park Colorado with his friends. He is the son of Diesel Montague and the nephew

of Mr. Duck who is his world history teacher at his school. Chris attends North Park High School as a freshman. Chris' home town of North Park

is based on the town of South Park in the animated sitcom with the same name. It is also based off of Denver which is a city in Colorado. He is

friends with Jack, Charlie, and Morgan who are his main friends. He is also friends with a lot of people in his class. Chris always meets his friends 

at the local bus stop where he, Jack, Charlie, and Morgan experience a lot of crazy shenanigans that rubble through the town. Chris lives at his

home at 2009 Garrison Street in a blue house and is neighbors with many of his friends. Throughout his days, he becomes the vessel for a dark 

being called "Dark Chris". Chris has the power to release this dark entity at any time to help him out of trouble or when he gets too furious.

Voice

​

The voice of Chris is provided by Chris Serrano, who also provides the voice for Mr. Duck, Dark Chris, Coach Richie, and Diesel Montague. Serrano

also provides the voices for various other recurring characters throughout the series. Chris Serrano has been part of the main voice cast from the 

beginning of the series including the pilot, as well as voicing Chris Montague from the start. Serrano chose to voice the character of Chris after he

was created because he always wanted to voice act for a character in his name and portray his character any way he wanted. Chris uses his 

normal voice for Chris Montague when voicing him. For other roles such as Mr. Duck, Serrano gives him a western-accent for the role. Serrano also

voices many of Chris Montague's ancestors, and relatives. He provides the voice of Chris' dad, uncle, grandfather and lost cousin Michael. In the

pilot episode Chris' mom was voiced by Serrano for that one time. Chris Serrano agreed to portray the voice for Chris Montague because he had

taken an interest in voice acting and wanted to cast himself into an animated series to expand his character.

Personality

​

Chris, a big shot superior person, hangs out a lot with his friends Jack, Charlie, and Morgan at the bus stop, school, home and other places. Any

situation the guys get into, Chris is the most logical sometimes and other times he will snap at his friends due to their incomprehensible stupidity. 

Most occasions, Chris lets out a lot of rage due to his anger issues giving another reason he snaps at his friends. Chris has a very bright attention

span and is a bright student in all his classes. He is one of the smartest people in his school and gets pleasure to see bad people being tortured. His

most favorite fantasies is seeing his geography teacher Dmitri Bullstrode tortured by many antics especially ones performed by Mr. Duck. Chris does

not take crap from anyone. He can handle people who put him in a bad mood in a good way or a bad way in a good cop bad cop kind of way.
